    Who was eligible
    Population 1,000+ with a SEIFA score. Covers all states and territories. SEIFA is published by postcode, so suburbs sharing a postcode share a score and will tie.
    How many suburbs were ranked
    3,817 suburbs had measured data and met the eligibility rule. Suburbs without measured data were not ranked — they were not scored low, they were left out.
    Independence
    Nobody can buy this award, a place in it, or a change to it. It is computed from public data by a published formula and has no commercial relationship attached.
